Industrial Epoxy
Industrial epoxy flooring is often requested and used in warehouses, factories, high traffic areas, and in industrial working areas where the flooring may otherwise be prone to damage from machinery, heavy equipment and much more. Industrial epoxy flooring is a durable solution for business operations in such facilities as it provides for a safe barrier between the flooring and heavy-duty equipment, impact, and harsh chemicals.
Machinery For warehouses and factories where large machinery is placed and used frequently, industrial epoxy flooring is an excellent solution to a flooring system that is both safe durable against heavy-duty impact. Epoxy flooring helps to combat harsh chemicals that may leak or seep on to the flooring so it’s easier to clean when it happens. Epoxy flooring is also strong enough to hold heavy machinery, ensuring that it is in place at all times without the possibility of cracking. Epoxy flooring solutions are also sought after for garages or car workshops, where tires are easily impacted and must be driven with care. Epoxy flooring offers a smooth surface that provides for comfortable driving. Anti-slip Not only is industrial epoxy strong and sturdy for heavy machinery, but it is also composed of an anti-slip material that allows for adequate traction of tools and equipment. Machinery will remain in place without worry that it could slide during use or move involuntarily. Despite industrial epoxy flooring’s “sleek” appearance, the epoxy serves merely as a coating and helps the flooring retain its concrete properties, which includes small crevices, bumps, or ridges that allow for gripping and traction. If the flooring becomes wet with any substance, it will also deter liquids to avoid potential injury. Safety While epoxy flooring is a durable option for your flooring and machine use, it can also be the safer option for your workers, warehouses, and much more. As epoxy flooring is highly reflective to light, it is useful for larger garages and warehouses so that you can easily see the surroundings. Light is reflected off of epoxy flooring easily, so it can brighten up darker rooms that may require more light when natural light has gone. If you are working on an epoxy flooring system, your safety concerns will be at ease as the epoxy floors are able to add more visual direction that regular concrete or other flooring solutions. Installation Before we begin the installation process for industrial epoxies, it is important to prepare the area ahead of time. Adequate preparation will ensure that your epoxy finish will last longer and serve its purpose to the highest ability. We will thoroughly clean your concrete surface beforehand, removing any residue that could interfere with the installation of our epoxy finish. Then, we’ll mix the epoxy solution and quickly apply it to the concrete surface. Epoxy must be applied shortly after mixing to render best results. Curing time will range on the size of your surface but we often recommend anywhere between 12 – 14 hours per coat of epoxy. |
